Dapoxetine is a tablet-based product that needs to be taken orally. It has a half-life of approximately 6 hours. Dapoxetine can be used as a treatment for people with premature ejaculation.

Dapoxetine is prescribed for the treatment of premature ejaculation. Premature ejaculation in men who meet all of the following criteria: poor ejaculation control, history of premature ejaculation in the past 6 months, marked distress or interpersonal difficulty resulting from premature ejaculation, and lower intravaginal ejaculatory latency of two minutes.

The most common side effects include dizziness or fainting and nausea. Drinking a full glass of water at the same time as taking the tablet may reduce these effects.
